Mind in the Making Parenting Classes

 Angela is an certified Mind in the Making workshop leader. Our parenting classes take the best research and techniques in child development and mold them to be useful for parents with children with disabilities.

Author Ellen Galinsky compiled ten years of child development into her book, Mind in the Making. The curriculum teaches families how to improve executive functioning in themselves and their children. Build Your Family Parenting Class

Every family looks different. However, families with children with a disability face particular challenges that other families may not encounter. The Build Your Family curriculum tackles difficult situations with practical techniques to parent children with disabilities. The interactive workshop guides families through diagnosis, building a team of professional, advocacy, discipline, setting achievable expectations, writing a life plan for your child, challenges, family health and values, and much more.
